I was with “Eat Bulaga” for the segment “Aminin” when Mamu Andrew asked me to try hosting at The Library. Mamu said hosting live show will do a great help expanding my know-how in hosting. So I accepted the offer to have a feel or taste of how it is to host a live show with a combination of comedy and singing.
Too bad, I only lasted for a month because of the pressure at “Eat Bulaga”, radio announcing, showbiz writing, press conferences and other showbiz related job that I do during those days. At isa pa ay sa kadalhilanan na hindi ko na kinakaya ang puyat at pagod. Sing-along hosting lasts till 3:00AM. But I have to wake up at 9:00AM to prepare for “Eat Bulaga”.
Only 2004 when I joined again sing-along hosting for Klownz at Araneta through Mamu. That time, I had an offer to do shows abroad like in the U.S. I talked to Mamu to give me a space again in The Library to polish my hosting skills. After doing front act for Jess Zarragoza and Dingdong Avanzado series of shows in the U.S., I continued hosting for Klownz and The Library. This time, for real and for life… habang pwede pa at gusto pa ni Mamu. Salamat Mamu!
Being a performer gives the feel of a true artist. Performing in front of the audience made me believe and appreciate the talent God has given to me. People listen every single word we say and song we sing on stage. We just don’t entertain, we also command.
